Have you ever been so ecstatic about something that happened that you, you couldn’t keep it to yourself? You were telling anybody and everybody willing to listen come and see what God has done. Look at what only God could have done. I woke up this morning with this verse on my lips because God is such an awesome God.

Come and see what God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people.

Psa.66:5

As I looked at different versions of this verse the acts that he has performed were also expressed as awe-inspiring, wonderful acts, and many others.

Praise is not optional.

Come and see what God has done!
God is good!

You should praise God every chance you get. Maybe you didn’t wake with this verse on the tip of your tongue, but you’re alive. God woke you up this morning.

You are not in pain. When you put your legs down, you didn’t fumble and fall, you were able to walk or run to the bathroom.

You may not have had the money or opportunity to go to a fancy restaurant and get a hearty breakfast but right where you are in your home, you have choices about what to eat and what not to eat.

David understood, he had the right attitude and he constantly praised God. In this passage, David remembers first what miraculous works God did the Israelites. He was an avid reader of the word and he saw the deeds that God performed and was amazed by them.

David had a heart that was always rejoicing. That is one of the reasons that he was known as a man after God’s own heart.

There will be seasons when your friends or family will seemingly look as though they are being blessed by God more than you. It could very well be that both of you think this of each other.

This is not the time to be bitter or jealous and let your heart overpower the work of the Holy Spirit within you. This is the time to rejoice because God has done awesome miracles for all people.

After David rejoiced over the blessings of others, he looked within and he saw that God has blessed him too. In the last verse, he states his reason for rejoicing, “because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me.”

God is good, isn’t he? He is the only one that we can boast about. He is the only one that we can have full confidence in.

The next time God does something good in your life, even if it seems minuscule, praise him, testify of his goodness, tell someone like the Samaritan woman did.

Do you keep silent when you’re at a basketball game and your team is winning? Do you keep silent when you get an awesome score on a test you weren’t sure about?

Come and see what God has done!
God is good!

I woke up with gratitude in my heart and praise on my lips. This morning is going to be all about worship and praise to my God. Let’s praise his holy name together because he has indeed done awe-inspiring miracles for you and me.

Prayer for today,

Father, we humbly bow before you with a grateful heart because of your goodness. You continue to do miraculous works in our life whether we notice them or not. Your love is unfailing and you always hear our prayer. Today we want to praise and adore because you are worthy to be praised. In Jesus’ name Amen.
