Do you truly believe?

Do you truly believe that God is able to do exactly what he said he would? To bless and transform your life for his glory?

Peter was a fisherman it was all he knew and he was good at it. He knew the Sea of Galilee as well as he knew himself. All his life that was his trade. He knew where to find fish during every season.

One thing stands out and that is Peter realized that the Creator of everything knew much more than he did. Even though he had tried and tried and tried to catch fish he was unsuccessful. Peter recognized who was asking and to his utter amazement, his obedience got him the catch of a lifetime.

What about you my friend, is God asking you to place more faith in him? When God told Peter to go into the deep, he already knew where the fish were. God knows what’s ahead. He has already made provision for your next project or your next blessing.

The thing to remember is, whatever God has laid on your heart won’t happen until you Launch out. Let go of your fear, let go of your pride, let go of anything that is holding you back.

This launch is not going to be easy.

No one goes fishing with nets in the shore. That’s where the water is shallow and you’re not going to find anything of substance there. If you’re going to launch in the deep you can’t rely on yourself. You have to place your faith in God and allow him to take the lead. Even if your scared or people mock or laugh at you.

Let God be the captain and allow him to maneuver the ship. When Peter realized how much fish was caught, he called the other fishermen to help him. There was so much that both of the boats were sinking. God will reward your faith. Faith can’t work if you don’t put action behind it.

One more thing to notice is Jesus used the word, “nets” the plural form of a net. Jesus was ready to reveal to Peter who He really is. Peter had no choice but to forsake everything he’s ever known and follow Jesus. That day he became a fisher of men.

If God has asked you to exercise your faith by launching into a new season of your relationship with Him let him receive the glory through you. Remember you were created to bring God glory.

Prayer for Today

Dear Jesus,

I want to be a woman of faith, someone who will literally take you at your word and launch out into ventures that you have placed on my heart to do. I want to be a vessel used by you for you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
