It is recommended that you go for a physical checkup at least once a year. This isn’t just for the doctors to make money, it is so you can be ahead of any malignant disease creeping up on your body. As good as it is, you are encouraged in God’s word to examine yourself as well.

Every Thursday I will be using scriptures to bring you some encouragement along with some other sister bloggers I recently joined.

Psalms 26:2- “Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.”

Self-examination is a vital part of the life of the believer. It has been mentioned throughout the old and new testament because it is needed.

David knew that he was merely human, even though he was a king. He recognized the King of kings and he humbled himself by asking him to search him.

It is not that David couldn’t recognize the sin in his life but when he wrote this beautiful psalm he wanted God to know that he belonged to him.

Every day that you are given is a day to praise and glorify God. You can only do that if you search your hearts and actions. What are your motives? Why do you do what you do? Are you trying to please God or yourself?

You should examine yourself instead of waiting for God’s judgment because He doesn’t turn a blind eye to sin. As you minister in any capacity ever so often do internal inventory. Make sure that you are right with God.

When was the last time you examined yourself? You can do so today.
