Hey ladies, take a look around and you’ll notice that society is rapidly changing. It’s becoming increasingly hard to keep up with new developments and structures of the world in which we live.
Furthermore, as a believer in Christ, you most likely have a general idea of what the Bible teaches and how you ought to live.
However, you may find yourself from time to time distancing yourself from others because they are different.
The norms of civilization are changing and you are called by God to remain the same. The principle doesn’t ever change. You were commanded by God to show love.
Subsequently, if you are going to be a light in this world you have to show love to the marginalized women in your community.
There are :
- Women who are divorced
- Those who are lesbians
- Women who struggle with same-sex attraction (bisexual)
- Those who believe in Abortion
- Women who are a part of cults
- Those who are homeless
- Women who are strung out on drugs
- Those who are alcoholics
- Women who are or were incarcerated
- The ones who are poor
- Women who are widows
- Those who are discriminated against because of their race
Love is the key
First, love is the answer to all the disorders that plague this world. As women of God, we have to be loving to others.
Moreover, if you have ever had the privilege of dealing with any of the women mentioned above you will realize that they are just looking for love.
Remember, you have the answer, you have exactly who they are searching for. Sometimes, it’s the way you communicate that can cause them to miss the fact that you can lead them to the lover of their soul.
Be loving in your speech, actions, and service.
Jesus came and died for everyone, no matter their identity or their status in life, he loves them.
As a result, we should also show love.
Check your habits
Interestingly enough, most of the habits that we’ve developed are totally wrong. You can tell a joke that can cause someone to retreat into themselves or worst, want to commit suicide…
Unintentionally…
This is why we have to be so careful about what we say and how we say it. Being a Christian in today’s society calls for tact, grace, and mercy. Look at the way Jesus dealt with individuals throughout his time on earth. He always met them where they were and ministered to their immediate need.
Their immediate need is Jesus.
Before you judge someone because of their differences think of their heart condition.
Are you subconsciously being mean? Look at their reactions and change.
Is there a phrase or action you’ve always said or done that needs to change?
Sin is the problem…
Above all, these individuals need Jesus’ salvation just like everyone else, and were it not for his grace and mercy you and I could have been in the same positions. But God…..
So tell me, how do you plan to impact the lives of those who stand out as different in your communities?
Will you allow God to use you to minister to them and show them how much he loves them?
In addition, let them see God’s love pouring out of you because of the love of Christ in your heart.
Leave a comment if this post ministered to you. If you’re not fully sold out to God to a point where you can effectively love those who are different, just be nice and pray, pray that God will give you a heart of love for them.
