John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Welcome to His Encouragement: Thankful Thursdays

Every Thursday I will be using scripture to bring you some encouragement along with some other sister bloggers I recently joined.

As soon as you have read this post you will find links to other encouraging posts. Be sure to take a look and glean from them as you head into the weekend.

I don’t know what happened but I heard her screams and panic filled my lungs. I rushed outside and saw her uncle hugging her as she sobbed and slobbered all over his shoulder.

The object that she had been playing with fell on her big toe and my heart constricted when I realize that she had a cut or “bobo” as she would say.

You see, I love my daughter so much that I wish that I can protect and save her from every wrong that can happen.

But it’s not possible.

Just like I love my daughter, God’s love for us is everlasting. As a parent, he provided the ultimate sacrifice. He sent his only begotten son to deliver our fallen race.

When I think of God’s wonderful sacrifice by sending Jesus to die in our stead, I can’t help but praise and magnify his holy name. God exceeded our thoughts when he showed us his love beyond measure.

I love good clean romance novels and it could be the reason that I love the story format and love letter that the Bible is. God sent his only son to take your place so that we can become his daughter. Basically, the Bible displays God’s pursuit of our hearts and his desire for us to love him in return as well as share His love for us.

God knew what was ahead, our fate had been sealed from the time that we entered the world. But that’s not all that happened. There was a plan set in motion from the foundations of the world.

What an amazing, mighty God we serve, he made a way for us to escape the punishment that we rightfully deserve. And he did it all without us having to owe a debt.

Loved beyond measure: His Encouragemt

Encouraging reminder: You are loved beyond measure

John 3:16 is a familiar passage, one that many people today know from the heart but I challenge you to look at it with fresh eyes. Throughout the remainder of your day meditate on these words and bask in God’s love beyond measure.

Live your life knowing that you are loved by the one who will never ever fail you. One of the loneliest times that Jesus experienced while he was here on earth is when he hung on the cross. He was rejected by man and he was rejected by God. Despite it all, he did it out of a heart of love.

For God so loved the world that he didn’t spare his only son to condemn us but chose to rescue us because we were without hope. Today we have hope beyond the grave and were loved beyond measure.
