There is nothing more comforting in this world than knowing that you are loved. Not just by your mom and dad or husband but also with a supernatural love that can never be shaken or broken. A love that has stood and will continue to stand the tests of time.

This is what you know and experience each and every day. The world can be a lonely place even though there are billions of people living here. Sometimes you can be overlooked within your family, your workplace, or church but God loves you.

You are loved unconditionally, fervently, and with an all-consuming passion.

Because of his fervent love, it can seem overwhelming but are you one who doesn’t want to be loved like this?

When despair entraps you, anxiety or loneliness there is always someone that you can turn to that will always welcome you with open arms. And that is God, he does this because he loves you.

He doesn’t just love you because you are now a believer in Christ. He has loved you forever. Even before the start of time, before you were created, before your parents fell in love and conceived you, he has loved you.

Have you ever read a good love story where the hero is doing everything in his capacity to let the heroine know of his love for her? It is usually before she even knows that he exists. He pines away hoping and wondering if she will ever return his love and then one day she does. And all the pain and heartache he endured is forgotten because she has returned his love.

This is the way that God has loved and will continue to love his people. During the time of your rejection and rebellion against his love, he has persevered and pursued your heart. Now that you are his he has adopted you and made you an heir with son, Jesus Christ.

What does that mean? It means that you are now his beloved; that he loves you like he loves his son, and you are now his bride.

Insights from God’s Word:

1 John.3 1

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so, we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

1 John.4:10

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Ephesians.2: 4-5

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace, you have been saved—

John.3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your unfailing love, that never dims or wavers. You loved me first and you have continued to love me. I want to love you in return and I am grateful to be a part of your bride.
