It is so easy to feel overlooked and down because you weren’t chosen for a particular job or project but you are chosen by the one who will matter the most in the end.
- You are not a mistake
- You didn’t come out of anything
- You didn’t happen to fall out of the sky
God has chosen you. He has called you by your own name, the name that he knew you would receive from your parents before time even began.
The triune God talked about a plan to redeem mankind and your name was already a part of it. Your story was formulated and you are living it out right now. God knew that you would need this reminder at this exact time that you are reading this devotional.
You were chosen by God to be exactly who you. Right now, you may not feel it but just bask in his words that he has revealed to you. The bible shows us that we are all chosen.
Your task at hand may seem difficult but now that you believe that you were chosen; know that God already knows exactly what will happen, there is absolutely no need to fear.
- Maybe your fiancé changes his mind about marrying you.
- Maybe you did something or didn’t meet a goal that has your boss reconsidering giving you that promotion that was promised.
- Maybe your child just said they didn’t like you because they don’t understand why they are being punished.
These situations are bad, but the best is yet to come and God’s best is the best.
Humans will change their mind once they see your weaknesses; they can because they’re not God.
He will never change his mind about you; when he chose you, he knew everything that was ahead in your future and he hasn’t changed his mind nor ever will.
Everyone won’t be going to heaven because not everyone who says Lord, Lord actually means it but God has elected you to be one of his chosen adopted children and there is no way he will ever let you go.
Insight from God’s Word:
Ephesians.1:4-
Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.
Galatians.1: 14-15-
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood.
1 Peter.2:9-
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
Prayer:
Dear God,
That you for choosing me before the foundation of the earth was formed. I want to serve and please you more because I know that you will never give up on me. Knowing that I am not a mistake but someone that has a purpose to fill is pushing me to do my best for you. In Jesus’s name Amen.
