Justification is being declared righteous. When God looks down on you it is as if you have never even sinned even though you have.

This is one of the many precious gifts that we have received from God. There is no way that we can justify ourselves. It doesn’t matter what you do, or how good you think you are, only God can justify you.

The only way that we can stand before God as though we have never sinned is if we accept the finished work Jesus accomplished on Calvary and be saved. Therefore, justification can only come through the acceptance of Jesus Christ.

Whenever God talks about being justified in his word, he mentions the law and grace. In the Old Testament, the people then relied on the law. The law was the way that God accepted their worship whether by obedience to the 10 commandments or the duties of the priest.

The law had rules that everyone had to follow and it was an impossible task to accomplish. It was so impossible that if you were guilty of one, you were automatically guilty of all. Nevertheless, Jesus eradicated the law once and for all and we are now under the dispensation of grace.

You’re Holy and blameless God saw fit to declare you righteous, holy, and justified because of his great Love.

There is nothing that we could have ever done that would guarantee our eternal security. From the time we were born into this world we were sinners bound for a Christless eternity and without hope.

Your are justified

Today you can revel in God’s goodness and love as you stand just and holy before God when he looks at you through the eyes of Jesus.

As you go through this life however, you will be tempted and you may even give in but this is where repentance and prayer come in.

No matter how many times you fall, get up, and ask God for forgiveness so that you can remain just in his eyes.

To be justified requires faith and repentance. One day when we stand before God, we will be completely justified, never to sin again. What a glorious day that will be. Are you looking forward to it?

Insight from God’s word:

Romans.8: 33 –

Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifies.

Romans.2:13-

For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified.

Romans.5: 1-

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews.9: 28-

so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

You have secured eternity for through the shed blood of your Son, Jesus, and I didn’t do anything to deserve it. Lord, all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you for your love and for giving this chance to be reconciled with you through Jesus Christ, Amen
